Stilo Verbacom Club pit to car communication systems. This cost effective system uses a mobile phone as the basis of the communication, which is ideal in that it uses no external radios or radio licences are required. In the car, the system is fully automated and operates when the driver speaks, no push to talk buttons to worry about. The actual Verbacom helmet unit weighs around 150g and can be directly mounted to the helmet or elsewhere in the cockpit where suitable and connects directly to the comms port of a Stilo helmet. The pit wall headsets include a push to talk function and with their noise cancelling microphones, the driver only hears speech, when the pit crew are speaking to them.
When racing is underway, the two telephones are connected as per a normal telephone call. The Pit crew headset and driver helmet module are connected via Bluetooth for communication. A light on the unit will be shown when connected. Unlike most radio systems the Stilo Verbacom system can offer coverage all around the circuit and doesn't require expensive signal boosters or tall radio aerials to ensure coverage. The system is fully automated and once a call is set up it, should it be lost, the system will automatically re-connect, with no requirement for either the driver or the pit crew to do anything.
This Stilo Verbacom system consists of the following items (CQ0003):

All chargers and carry case (3 pin adaptor required for use in the UK)
Stilo offer three Verbacom kits, with the following options (the above kit is Kit 3 below):
Kit 1 (CQ0001) - 1 x Pit Headset & 1 x Car Kit
Kit 2 (CQ0002) - 2 x Pit Headset & 1 x Car Kit (This option allows the main headset to communicate directly with the car and separately communicate with the second pit headset. The second headset cannot communicate with the car)
Kit 3 (CQ0003) - 1 x Pit Headset & 2 x Car Kit (This option allows separate communication between two race cars from the one headset)
