FIA battery master switches, the most cost effective method of completely isolating power from the vehicle to ensure it turns off immediately and this requirement is mandatory in most motorsport. These switches have additional contacts to control the output of the alternator when the switch is turned to the 'off' position.
A resistor is provided to load the alternator for safety purposes. The current ratings are 100 amperes continuous and 500 amperes short term.
The kit includes a removable red operating key and a water reistant rubber cover. The lever is captivated by the switch when in the 'on' position.
